Final Double Page spread

This is my final double page spread it is diffent from the one before because i have put boxes around the questions which were asked to make them more distinctive for the reader i also edited the hat which the model is wearing using photoshop changing the LA symbol from Green and yellow to Grey in order to match the colour scheme of what the model is wearing i also added a bit of a shadow to both pictures again using photoshop

this is the final copy of my front page as you can see i removed the green from his arm i also removed the black and white from his other arm and i changed the barcode

Monday 22 Febuary 2010

Made a rough sketch for my front cover in order to gather an idea of how i want my cover to look and how i am going to devlop the ideas as i progress throughout. Still have to discover what colour scheme i want to use on the front cover.

Wednesday 24th Febuary 2010

Made a rough logo sketch in order to see if i was going to use a logo on my magazine currently using the colour scheme theme of black and gold but not what i want to stick with most likely to change the colour scheme at some point.

Selected the font that i am going to use for the masthead of my front page.

Thursday 4th March 2010

Changed my Name from Sub-Bass to Bass Hype also changed the artist name from damage to drifter.

Saturday 6th March 2010

Made a very rough draft of my front cover not using my actual model for the front cover but trying to get an idea of how i want everything to shape up on my front cover.

Sunday 7th March 2010

Made a rough layout of my contents page using microsoft word and text boxes to get a rough idea of how i am going to set my contents page out when i come to do it on photoshop.

Monday 8th March 2010

Made a draft of my front cover with my actual model i also add a bit of text with some of the featuring artists and some of the selling lines aswell however this has a white background which mine is not going to be full white but i am currently deciding what colour the background should be.

Decided on my front cover background colour which is going to be green and white.

Friday 12th March 2010

Made another draft of my magazine adding all my previous ideas how ever i have to make another draft as his head is being cut off which makes the magazine look unrealistic also considering changing the colour of his arms as the green makes it look a bit unrealistic aswell.

Made my final front cover draft changing the colours of his arm to make it seem more realistic also stuck with the green idea as i think the green suits the photo now going to make the contents page for my magazine

Began to make my contents page choosing the theme of it to be black and green also have taken a print screen to show it during the process of making.

Began thinking and planning my double page spread Using photoshop also uploaded some printscreens which i took of my double page spread which i made today however this is not complete i am going to put a box around the questions asked with a colour inside in order to make it easier to tell which were the questions asked and the response to the questions

Finished my evalution questions 6 & 7 using Microsoft Power point i also uploaded the images which i rejected today aswell.

This image was also rejected as i didn't feel it had a direct mode of address to be on the front cover. I also never used this image on the double page spread either as i wanted the images to engage the audience and make it feel like the artist 'Drifter' was talking to them and i wanted the images to reflected this idea

Rejected images

The main reason behind why i rejected this image was due to the lighting their is to
much of a shadow behind the actual model and there is not enough light on the models face therefore this picture doesn't have as much of an impact that i would like my front cover image to have.
